Hair styling dad gets Facebook’s attention

A single dad in Pueblo who received international attention after his hair styling went viral is now getting attention from Facebook on Father’s Day.

Greg Wickherst originally had trouble doing his daughter’s ponytails. He went to college to take a hair styling class; now he’s a hair stylist for his 3-year-old daughter, Izzy.

Wickherst then went on to create Greg Wickherst’s Dads Guide to Surviving Hair Facebook page. It’s a page that offers different hairstyling and child care tips

“It’s really become more of a community of parents. People sharing advice and people will ask not even hair-related questions,” he said.

Facebook approached him to highlight his hair styling skills and his Facebook page on Facebook Stories.

“This is more than a dream. I couldn’t have fathomed the fact that Facebook would want to come to interview me for something that I spend an hour and a half to learn,” he said.

Wickherst said his goal now is to continue learning hair styling to make his daughter’s hair look even better.
