Sheriff’s office: Blood found in missing woman’s van

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says it suspects foul play in the disappearance of a woman who hasn’t been seen since April.

Lori Lee Layman, 53, was last seen on April 22, 2015 at the America’s Best Value and Suites in the 400 block of Garden of the Gods Rd.

The last person to hear from Layman was her father. That happened on April 30, 2015.

The last ping on Layman’s cell phone was on May 11, 2015 near N. Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs.

Layman’s van was found abandoned at the Pebble Creek Apartments in the 2000 block of S. El Paso Ave. The sheriff’s office says the van had been emptied and there was blood found inside.

If you saw a gold 2002 Kia van in the area of the Pebble Creek Apartments or know how the vehicle ended up there, you are asked to call 719-390-5555 and ask for Detective Vidmar.

Lori Lee Layman stands 5’2″ tall and weighs around 150 pounds.
