Water main break responsible for low water pressure in two Springs neighborhoods

Colorado Springs Utilities says a water main break is affecting water pressure levels in Broadmoor Valley and Broadmoor Bluffs.

The break happened at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday off of Broadlake View.

Utilities says the break will not be repaired until sometime Wednesday, and that the water pressure will likely remain low until the repairs are complete.

A KRDO NewsChannel 13 viewer who lives in Broadmoor Bluffs reported brown tap water. Colorado Springs Utilities says the water is safe to drink and does not need to be boiled. It says the brown color is likely from sediment in the pipes that was disturbed by the break, and that running the cold water for a few minutes should clear it up.
