Police: Shoplift suspect tries to hide from police in grocery store ceiling
A shoplift suspect who tried to hide from police is accused of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to a Colorado Springs grocery store.
Police say Catherine Rowland climbed up into the ceiling of the Safeway on S. Murray Blvd. Monday night (6/15/15), and caused about $10,000 worth of damage in the process.
After a long search, officers found her wedged between two walls in the ceiling area.
Rowland faces charges of Unlawful Use of a Financial Transaction Device and felony Criminal Mischief.
