Trapped bear tears up interior of Evergreen woman’s pickup truck

An Evergreen couple woke up to the unsettling sounds of a wild animal ripping up the inside of their truck early Friday morning.

Dave Masters says he heard a bunch of racket and a horn honking at around 1:10 a.m.

Masters says he soon realized that a bear had let himself into his wife’s truck and couldn’t get out.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office came out to help wrangle the bear out of the truck.

Masters says there wasn’t any food in the truck, so he isn’t sure why the bear broke in.
