Police say remains found outside Springs business not human

Colorado Springs Police investigated the discovery of embryonic remains outside of a southeast side business Friday.

The investigation happened outside Western Steel in the 3300 block of Drennan Industrial Loop N.

Police were unsure if the remains were from a human or an animal, and they were concerned that a woman may have had a miscarriage and needed medical help.

Police say remains were examined by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, which determined that they were from an unknown animal and not a human being.
