Springs firefighters battle two-alarm strip mall fire

Smoke and flames shot from the roof of a strip mall on N. Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs Wednesday.

The two-alarm fire started at a business called Nacos Tacos. It is now under control.

The fire caused curiosity slowing in the 200 block of N. Academy Blvd, between Platte and Bijou.

Academy Blvd. remained open, but access to the shopping center was limited.

Firefighters said everyone made it out of the building safely.
