One suspect arrested, another wanted in string of Pueblo burglaries

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office says they have a suspect in custody connected to a burglary investigation.

Travis Maikke, 20, was taken into custody Friday night on a $100,000 warrant. He is charged with a string of burglaries in the Pueblo West area.

Deputies also searched a home on San Pedro St, connected to the two men and found stolen guns, a laptop, jewelry, a 55-inch television and other items. The sheriff’s office says deputies are working to find the owners of those stolen items.

The sheriff’s office is still searching for 20-year-old Samuel Joaquin Torres. Deputies believe he is also involved in the string of burglaries.

If you have information on his whereabouts, you can call the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office at 583-6250 or Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 543-STOP.
