Cat killed by fire in Colorado Springs Home

Firefighters from the Falcon and Cimarron Hills Fire Departments extinguished a fire at a home in the 2300 block of Klein Place, near the intersection of Marksheffel Road and Constitution Avenue.

The fire was reported at 7:38 Saturday morning. Firefighters report that no one was inside the home at the time.

No one was injured, but the body of a cat was discovered inside after the fire was put out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

El Paso County fire investigators report that the home is currently uninhabitable.
