Four arrested in two separate incidents in Pueblo

Pueblo Police say they arrested a total of four people in two separate incidents Friday morning.

The first incident happened in the area of Vinewood and Ivywood where officers responded to a report of shots fired.

Police say two men were running from the area when officers arrived. Emiliano Ayala-Gallegos, 24, and Steven Sierra, 23, were chased down by officers and arrested. A third person identified as Bernie Barela, 30, was arrested after a nearby apartment complex was searched.

Police say Ayala-Gallegos had a property crime warrant with a $5,000 bond, Sierra had two traffic warrants totaling $3,000 and Barela had a no bond Larceny warrant.

Police said the shooting incident at Vinewood and Ivywood is believed to have been gang-related.

Around the same time, in an unrelated incident, police say Joshua Pacheco, 22, was arrested during a traffic stop near Lake and Abriendo.

Police say they believe Pacheco is tied to recent gang related drive-by shootings. Pacheco was arrested on a parole violation warrant.
