Man killed in Colorado Springs shooting identified

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a man who was shot to death in a southeast side neighborhood Saturday night (5/30/15).

Cameron Pitts, 37, was killed in the 100 block of S. Claremont St. at around 10 p.m. His death has been ruled a homicide.

The Major Crimes Unit of the Colorado Springs Police Department has made an arrest.

42-year-old Jeffery Slate is now facing first degree murder charges.

Police say no other arrests are expected.
