Police: Ballistic evidence links two northern Colorado shootings

Police said Friday that a deadly shooting in Windsor and the shooting of a woman driving on I-25 in northern Colorado are linked, KMGH reported.

Windsor Police held a news conference to announce that the cases were linked by ballistics.

John Jacoby, 48, was shot while riding his bicycle on a county road north of Windsor on May 18. Jacoby died from his injuries.

Cori Romero was shot in the neck while driving on I-25 near Milliken on April 22.

KMGH reports that there have been nine reports of vehicle windows shattering on I-25 in northern Colorado since April.

Police said Friday that only the Jacoby and Romero cases have been definitively linked.
