Man throws beer bottle at girlfriend, girlfriend stabs him in the shoulder
Officers responded to a reported stabbing at the 700 block of Chapman Drive just before 1 a.m. Friday.
CSPD says a woman called to report that she thought she had stabbed her boyfriend.
After investigating, police discovered that they had gotten into an argument and the man threw a beer bottle at her. The two started physically fighting. At one point, while being physically assaulted, the woman grabbed a knife and stabbed the man in the back side of his shoulder. The man then left the apartment.
The man has been identified as 21-year-old Kent Clark. Police say, he was found several blocks away with a stab wound to his shoulder and other minor injuries.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment, then transported to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
Clark was charged with Third Degree Assault, Harassment, Reckless Endangerment and Violation of a Protection order.
The woman suffered minor injuries.
