Body found in Palmer Lake identified

A body found in the area of Palmer Lake has been identified as a missing person.

Hikers called the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office last Thursday, May 21, to report a body. They found it in the area of the bluffs southeast of Palmer Lake.

Deputies responded and found a deceased female. An autopsy tied the body to a missing person’s case. Phyllis Brown was reported missing May 15.

The cause and manner of death are pending the El Paso County Coroner’s final report.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says there are no signs of foul play.
