Man killed in Memorial Day Weekend crash identified

Colorado Springs Police have released the name of a man who died in a crash on Peterson Road Saturday morning.

The accident happened in the 3800 block of Peterson and was reported at 3:07 a.m.

Police say Mark Hickman, 22, was driving southbound on Peterson when his car veered off the road and crashed into a condominium.

Police say Hickman was thrown from the car and that he was dead when they arrived at the scene.

Hickman was not wearing a seat belt according to Colorado Springs Police. They say speed and alcohol are believed to have been factors in the crash.
