Cemetery expects to be busy on Memorial Day weekend

A cemetery in Pueblo says it’s going to be a busy Memorial Day weekend with people honoring veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Roselawn Cemetery officials said more than a thousand people will be there over the next few days.

The cemetery has at least one veteran from every U.S. war buried there.

We spoke with a veteran who said this weekend gives him a chance to remember the people who mean the most to him.

“We honor our very precious relatives who are buried here. It’s my wife’s grandparents and my daughter’s grandparents,” Korean War veteran Stephen Hiza said.

More than 60,000 people are buried at the cemetery.
