Police fatally shoot teen in Grand Junction
A teenager is dead after being shot by police in Grand Junction after hitting a motorcycle, killing the rider.
Grand Junction Police Chief John Camper says the 17-year-old boy was fleeing in a truck after a fight with his father when he crossed into oncoming traffic and hit the motorcycle. Authorities believe the motorcycle rider died in the accident.
Authorities say the teen fled on foot and was killed after he tried to force a woman out of her vehicle.
Police have not released the names of anyone involved.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports the investigation is being handled by other enforcement agencies around the Grand Valley.
