Pueblo honors military veterans on Armed Forces Day

The Home of Heroes honored military veterans on Armed Forces Day with two different events.

American Legion Post 2 welcomed bikers who are participating in the Ride For The Wall bike run.

Close to 400 bikers started in Los Angeles and will ride to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.

But on the way, they decided to make a stop in Pueblo.

“It’s so inspiring, the people we meet and the towns. It’s like a shot of fresh air. It’s really good,” Army veteran Bill Braid.

American Legion Post 203 also hosted a local bike run. Bikers rode from the Pueblo Convention Center to the Vietnam War Memorial on Elizabeth Street.
