Thousands show up for Wild Wild West Festival

The windy and cloudy weather didn’t stop thousands of people from showing up to kick off the annual Wild Wild West Festival.

People had a chance to enjoy carnival rides, live music, horses and barbeque.

Cathy Diodosio, who has been going to the festival since it started, said the event is a Pueblo tradition.

“There is a little bit of Pueblo in every one of the booths. The shops are on the street from the jars of food, the sausage sandwiches with chilies and just seeing people we know,” she said.

The festival will be happening through Sunday.
