Two major Springs trail segments closed because of flood damage
The city of Colorado Springs says two popular spots for walking and jogging were damaged by the recent flooding rains.
Flooding along Camp Creek significantly damaged the Foot Hills Trail within Garden of the Gods. The trail has been closed between Gateway Road and the Navigators.
Three major washouts occurred on the Greenway Trail and it has been closed between Nevada Avenue and El Pomar Youth Sports Park.
The city is working on plans to repair the damage and is urging caution as other trails in the city may have also sustained some degree of storm damage.
