Run-off election: What you need to know
The Colorado Springs mayoral run-off election will happen on May 19. Ballots must be turned in by 7 p.m. on election day.
This run-off election is a mail ballot only election. All active registered voters who live in the city limits should have received a ballot.
If there is a problem with your ballot, or if you did not receive one and believe that you should have, you can call the City Clerk’s office at (719) 385-5901, option 4, or go to the City Clerk’s Office located at 30 S. Nevada Ave. The office is open between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. The office will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on election day.
It is very important to remember to sign and date the voter affidavit on the back of the return envelope before you turn in your ballot to be counted. Your vote will be thrown out if you fail to sign and date the affidavit.
If you are a first time voter who registered by mail, your return envelope will say “ID required, place copy in return envelope.” Valid forms of identification include the following:
Colorado driver’s license or Colorado ID card issued by the Department of Revenue
United States Passport
Employee ID card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government or of this state, or by any county, municipality, board, authority, or other political subdivision of this state
Pilot’s license issued by the FAA or other authorized agency of the United States
United States military ID card with a photograph of the eligible elector
Current (within the last 60 days) utility bill, cable bill, phone bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the elector

A Certificate of Degree of Indian or Alaskan Native Blood
Medicare or Medicaid card issued by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
Certified copy of a United States birth certificate for the elector
Certified documentation of naturalization
Student ID card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by an institute of higher education in Colorado, as defined in section 23-3.1-102(5), C.R.S.
Veteran ID card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by the United States department of veterans affairs veterans health administration
ID card issued by a federally recognized tribal government certifying tribal membership
Ballots may be dropped off from April 27 through May 19, 2015 at the City Clerk’s Office, 30 South Nevada Avenue, Suite 101, or at any of these additional Drop-Off sites:

The City Clerk’s Office will have curb-side ballot drop-off available on Election Day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM from southbound Nevada Ave. and westbound Colorado Ave.
