UPDATE: Former mayor takes plea deal in child sex case
Former Woodland Park Mayor David Turley will avoid prison after agreeing to a plea deal.
Turley was accused of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
Under the deal, Turley pleaded guilty to criminal intent to commit sex assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
Turley was sentenced on May 11, 2015. He received a four year deferred sentence, sex offender intensive supervised probation and he’ll have to register as a sex offender within five days.
