Weather exacerbates pothole problem in Southern Colorado

The pothole problem in Southern Colorado is exacerbated by all this rain.

According to AAA Automotive worker, Chad Whitehead, about 80 percent of calls for service this week were for damaged or popped tires.

While AAA deals with a lot of other calls throughout the year like jump starts and lockouts, this week is different.

“For the past week or so it’s been mainly tire changes,” Whitehead said.

AAA in Colorado Springs has averaged 10 calls a day for tire issues, according to Whitehead.
