FBI agent shot in leg while serving warrant in Denver suburb
Authorities say an FBI agent who was serving an arrest warrant at a suburban Denver motel was shot in the leg by the suspect but is expected to survive.
Littleton police Lt. Trent Cooper says the agent, whose name has not been released, was shot at the Essex House Motel in Littleton at about 4 p.m. Friday. The agent was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect then barricaded himself in the building, where he remained Friday evening.
Littleton police did not release any other details. A call to the FBI was not immediately returned.
