Liz Baty: It looked like you were looking into a fire but white … and the bright fla which was loud. Have you ever heard small artilerly fire? Loud… rumbling … It freaks you out for a second? Multiply that by five. but the only victim? a chainsaw and a few shingles… after a lightning struck through bob rodgers backdoor shed. Bob Rodgers: i was sitting on my couch watching tv. Channel 13 weather, heard a bang and saw a flash. but he looked around his house and didn’t see anything wrong…. at least at first. We walked back to the back and opened the storage shed and saw a fire. from fires to floods. neighborhoods in pueblo filled with water immediately. and in security- widefield and fountain, a car stuck in water. It builds up pretty fast, it takes a while to wash it down the street. a family nearby says they’ve seen it before. i wish they would put more drainage ditches in to make it better. the damage this round is minor, with hail, some singed shingles and a hole in a shed left behind. Insurance will take over it… quite lucky i think. in widefield that man tells me the water did build up fast…but it also drained within half an hour. some of that water flowing here in the creek tonight. reporting live, greg miller, krdo newschannel 13. ad-lib Storms
