Pair sought in credit card fraud investigation

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is looking for information about two people it says used a stolen credit card number.

The sheriff’s office says the pair made two transactions totaling $555.95. A third attempt to make a $305.95 transaction was declined.

Investigators say the victim is still in possession of the credit card and isn’t sure how the information was compromised.

Deputies want to talk to the man and woman pictured in the surveillance image at the top of this article. The image was captured at the Safeway in Monument on the evening of May 1.

The sheriff’s office says the pair left in a dark blue or black station wagon, possibly a Subaru.
