Water restored to apartment complex following main break

An entire apartment complex in west Colorado Springs spent the night without water service after a water main break.

Service was restored Monday afternoon. Another outage is planned for Wednesday as additional repairs are needed.

The break happened just after 7 p.m. Sunday near Uintah & 17th Street. Hundreds of residents at the Knolls at Sweetgrass Apartment homes started the new work week without water.

Crews have fixed a second water main break in the area, along Armstrong Avenue.

It’s not clear if the two are related or what caused the breaks.
