Star Wars fans celebrate today

May the fourth be with you!

That may not mean a lot to you – unless you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise.

With excitement about the franchise high due to the release of the new movie later this year, collectibles like the ones at the We 3 shop in Old Colorado City are some of the most popular items in the store.

While the original movie debuted nearly 40 years ago, the owner of the store says that the appeal of the series spans the generations.

“I have new fans as young as four coming in looking for Star Wars stuff,” said We 3 owner Charles Carley.

The new movie is set to hit theaters in December. The latest round of merchandise comes out in September.
