Neighbors notified of sexually violent predator living near Patty Jewett Golf Course

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a sexually violent predator is living in a home in the 1300 block of N. Corona St.

Police say Gary Sherbet, 67, was convicted of sexually assaulting a child in 2006 in El Paso County. They say he has also been convicted of harassment.

Colorado law requires law enforcement to notify the community whenever a sexually violent predator moves to a new address.

There are currently ten sexually violent predators registered with the Colorado Springs Police Department.
