Two Pharmacies Robbed in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Police are investigating two armed robberies at a pair of pharmacies over the weekend.

The first happened at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the TLC Pharmacy in the 500 Block of East Costilla Street. Police said a white male in his late 50s or 60s brandished a handgun and ordered all the employees into a back room. He stole various amounts of controlled substances.

About 12 hours later, at a Walgreens drugstore in the 1800 Block of Southgate Road, police said a man walked in, displayed a handgun and robbed that store. The suspect in that robbery is described as a white male in his 40s.

No one was hurt in either robbery.

Police said they will examine surveillance video to determine if more than one suspect is involved.

If you have information on the robberies, call CSPD or Crime Stoppers, at 634-STOP.
