became a cancer survivor, but now she has another battle she’s facing, recovery. krdo newschannel 13’s carl winder shows us one hospital’s help is positively pueblo. nola long fought skin cancer in her throat..she survived the disease.. but her fight isn’t over. Sot: i just pray that they never have to deal with this it isn’t something you wish on anybody to go through it. since it took radiation to beat it …now she has to deal with the after effects. Sot: i lost 25 pounds my strength deteriorated and once you lose fat you are also losing muscle. that’s where saint mary corwin medical center came in. long is part of the cancer fit program at the hospital. the program helps people who survived cancer and uses exercise as a treatment in the recovery process.
