Car crashes into Colorado Springs home

Colorado Springs police are looking for suspects in a road rage incident that led to a hit-and-run.

Officers responded to a road rage report at Constitution Avenue and North Academy Boulevard around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses say someone pointed a gun at people in another car.

Officers were then dispatched to a hit-and-run a few blocks away in the 2000 block of Essex Lane.

Investigators said a car involved in the road rage incident crashed into a house.

“It was the biggest crash I ever heard,” neighbor Kimberly Hilton said. “You could feel it kind of shake everything.”

There were two people inside the home during the crash. They were not injured.

Police said two suspects ran away before officers arrived. Neighbors said they hope police catch the suspects.

“We all make mistakes, but you have to own up to them. They clearly did not,” Hilton said. “I hope they’re caught and I hope they prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.”
