Fire department: No injuries in Black Forest plane crash

A single engine plane went down in Black Forest Wednesday evening.

The Black Forest Fire Department says there were two people on the plane. Both the pilot, 35-year-old Matthew Wesley Tanner and his passenger, 18-year-old Isaac Brumm, were able to walk away from the crash.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says the plane crashed near the intersection of Glenridge Lane and Shoup Road. The pilots were practicing stalls when the plane couldn’t recover and crashed.

The cause is unknown and the FAA will resume an investigation Thursday morning.
