UPDATE: D-2 says Sierra not on lockout Wednesday
Harrison School District 2 denied reports Wednesday that Sierra High School was locked out for a third day in a row.
Viewers, including one of our Facebook fans and a student who attends the school, told KRDO NewsChannel 13 that it was on lockout.
Police said Sierra went on a voluntary lockout Tuesday afternoon because of an unspecified threat.
Yesterday’s lockout began at 1 p.m. and ended at the end of the school day.
School lockouts generally mean that no one is allowed in or out of the school, but that classes continue as scheduled inside.
D-2 says police are investigating rumors that this week’s lockouts are linked to fights this past weekend at a carnival at Powers and Palmer Park.
