UPDATE: Thousands affected by south side power outage

Power has been restored to the vast majority of Colorado Springs Utilities customers who were affected by an outage Thursday morning.

More than 3,000 customers were without service at the height of the outage.

Around 1,500 customers were still without service as of 10:45 a.m.

By noon, only three customers in the area were without power according to the Colorado Springs Utilities power outage map.

The cause of the outage is unknown.
