More than a dozen became US citizens at Ft. Carson

More than a dozen people at Ft. Carson were recognized for becoming U.S. citizens Thursday.

The Mountain Post held a naturalization ceremony for members of the military community, including people currently serving, who have served and spouses of service members.

“For me, it took a long time,” Ellen Ponton said. “I couldn’t wait.”

Those honored recited that administration oath and received certificates recognizing them as American citizens.
