The 31st Annual Space Symposium has begun
The 31st Annual Space Symposium is taking place at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
It’s the largest gathering of space professionals anywhere in the world.
This week, the Broadmoor – which is usually a place of relaxation – will be a bee hive of activity.
People are here form around the world.
“We have some 25 countries represented,” said Kevin Cook from the Space Foundation.
The reason for this global invasion is out of this world – it’s the space industry which is bringing them here.
Monday, hosts and exhibitors were putting the final touches on the exhibits for this year’s event.
Many of the boots are displaying products that are spin offs from the space program.
“We’re still enjoying things that were developed 40 and 50 years ago, as they get perfected,” said Cook.
One of those is a product from a company called Pulsed Harmonix.
“It was certified by the Space Foundation as certified space technology,” said Victoria Albright.
The number of those spin off products isn’t the only thing going up. So is the health of people who use Pulsed Harmonix’s product, according to Jack Butler, who is the Founder and CEO of the company.
“The methodology of this device is to start the healing process at the cellular level,” he said.
Coming here is a way to connect with other companies that have used the same technology in their fields.
The Space Symposium has taken off like it’s been launched by a rocket engines in the past few years. But putting on the Space Symposium is a big task for the Space Foundation, which is based in Colorado Springs.
Not surprisingly, planning for any event with more than 10,000 people takes a while.
“We start organizing now and planning for this event for next year,” said Cook.
As the space industry continues to grow, they can expect to get even busier in the years ahead.
The Space Symposium goes until Thursday at the Broadmoor.
Editors Note: The original version of this story had listed Jack Butler as the inventor of Pulsed Harmonix. Mr. Butler is the Founder and CEO of Pulsed Harmonix. We regret the error.
