Police collect hundreds of pounds of prescription drugs

Pueblo police worked to keep people safe by making sure prescription drugs are disposed properly.

The police had its Prescription Drug Take Back event Saturday in front of their headquarters.

Pueblo resident Angelo Aragon said he got rid of his drugs to keep people safe.

“I just wanted to get rid of these drugs so they don’t get into the wrong hands. If you throw them in the garbage, you never know who might get a hold of them,” he said.

Police collected more than 200 pounds of drugs.
