Person Shot in the Hand Following Fight in Monument

The Monument Police Department is investigating a fight that led to a shots fired call. It happened today (04/17/15) at the Safeway store on Hwy. 105.

Police say the two people involved were arguing outside the store, when one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other in the hand.

The person who was shot refused medical transport to the hospital.

The person who pulled the trigger, was taken into custody, but there is no word on any charges.
