2 families displaced after basement fire in Colorado Springs

Two families are displaced after a fire at a duplex in Colorado Springs early Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire in the 1800 block of Pejn Avenue around 2 a.m.

The fire was contained to a bedroom in the basement. It was under control within a half hour.

The Red Cross said it helped 11 people who were displaced.
