Man accused of stalking girl, 10, sentenced to 30 days in jail

A 67-year-old Green Mountain Falls man who pleaded guilty to obscenity promotion to a minor has been sentenced to jail.

Louis Pico was accused of stalking a 10-year-old girl.

Pico was sentenced to 30 days in the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center. He will serve 10 years on sex offender intensive supervised probation and was ordered to enroll in a treatment program. Pico was also ordered not to have contact with anyone under the age of 18.

In August, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office investigators said Pico performed lewd acts on himself in view of the girl while trying to get her attention, used binoculars to look into her bedroom window, left suggestive hand written notes for the girl and left candy and cash for her.

Detectives said they obtained a warrant to search Pico’s home and found items that supported the allegations against him.
