Fire damages home in eastern El Paso County

Firefighters kept a fire that damaged a home in eastern El Paso County Wednesday from spreading into nearby grass, despite gusty winds.

The fire burned a home in the 3500 block of JD Johnson Road, near Ellicott.

We’re told a family of four lives in the home. No one was hurt.

Gusty winds made it difficult for firefighters to put the fire out.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
