Small fire near Lake Minnequa quickly extinguished

The Pueblo Fire Department says firefighters quickly put out a fire near Lake Minnequa Monday afternoon.

Lake Minnequa is on the south side of the city.

Firefighters say the fire was initially reported at 1/2 acre.

Concern was high because of the gusty winds and warm temperatures today that the fire might grow out of control, but firefighters worked fast to stop it from spreading.
