School board to release reports to Claire Davis’ family

The board of education for Littleton Public Schools has agreed to provide information to the family of Claire Davis about the 2013 school shooting that left her dead.

The Denver Post reports the board voted unanimously in favor of a proposal from Davis’ family Thursday, agreeing to start arbitration proceedings to avoid a lawsuit.

Davis’ parents asked the district to enter into a binding agreement to outline and allow full discovery of the events that led to the December 2013 shooting at Arapahoe High School. The 17-year-old was killed by a classmate, who then killed himself.

In return for the agreement, the family promised not to sue the district, something they would be able to do if a bill before the legislature passes.
