Springs stabbing victim tries to ignore injury, asks restaurant employee for help hours after the fact
Police say a man asked the staff at a restaurant where he was eating for help after apparently trying to ignore the fact that he had been stabbed in the side hours earlier.
Officers were called to the Red Lobster in the 4900 block of N. Academy Blvd. at 9:37 p.m. on March 31, 2015.
Police say James Vidmar, 39, told them that he was stabbed in the side somewhere near the Citadel Mall hours before coming into the restaurant to eat.
Vidmar told the restaurant staff that he wasn’t feeling well and that he needed help.
Vidmar was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive.
No details about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing or a possible suspect are available.
