Red Flag Warning issued for high fire danger

The National Weather Service warns that the fire danger will be high in southeastern Colorado this afternoon.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for all of southeastern Colorado, including Colorado Springs and Pueblo, from noon until 7 p.m.

A Red Flag Warning is issued when warm temperatures, low humidity and gusty winds combine to create extreme fire danger.

Fires can start easily and grow explosively in such conditions.

Activities that could spark a fire should be avoided until the fire weather conditions improve.
