Suspicious package investigation closes road near Platte & Powers

A road was closed while deputies investigated a possible pipe bomb in an industrial area near Platte and Powers Monday afternoon.

The 600 block of Valley Street is now open.

The sheriff’s office says the object looked like a pipe bomb, thought it has not been confirmed if that’s what it was.
