Equipment and uniforms stolen from little league team

Someone stole brand new uniforms and equipment from a little league coach’s porch minutes after they were delivered.

The stolen items were worth more than $1,000. The Wolverines held fundraisers to pay for it.

Coach Donald Hemphill lives in Belmont. A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured the crime. “It hurts, it really hurts because the kids went through a lot of fundraisers to buy their equipment and uniforms,” Hemphill told The Pueblo Chieftain. “The boys are trying to stay upbeat but they’re pretty sad about this whole deal,” he said.

The stolen items are maroon and black and do not yet have any writing or logos on them.

Hemphill says he did report the theft to Pueblo Police.
