Colorado Springs father arrested, facing child abuse charges

Colorado Springs police report that the father of a 1 month old child was arrested Saturday, and is facing felony child abuse charges.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 12:46 p.m. regarding a child with facial trauma. When they arrived at a local hospital, officers discovered the child had received significant injuries to the face and head.

The child was flown to a Denver-area hospital for further treatment and is in stable condition.

Detectives in charge of the investigation later arrested the child’s father, Jordan Hoaglund, 22.
