Little girl in Pueblo has died after being struck by a truck

A 6-year-old girl in Pueblo has died after being hit by a truck Friday night.

The crash happened on the 500 block of Starlite Drive at about 7:15 p.m.

Pueblo police said this all started with a fight between Charles Case and Daniel Case at a different location. Charles is the father of the little girl who died.

When he went home with the little girl, she left the truck to go inside the home and was hit by a truck driven by Daniel Case.

Officers say Daniel who hit the little girl with his truck was traveling westbound on Lancaster Drive. He went through the intersection and crashed into the house.

Police expect speed and alcohol to be factors in the crash.

Charles Leasure was there to help the father of the 6-year-old girl.

“He was all out of it. I just tried to calm him down. I’m just hoping his little girl is going to be OK,” he said.

Daniel Case is being held on charges of Vehicular Homicide and Driving Under the Influence.
